Elizabeth and Martin’s seating assignment display was designed to appear as an integral part of the venue’s architecture, adding an element of surprise and delight to the celebration. This custom-built feature showcased faceted paper butterflies, each carrying the name of a guest along with their designated table assignment. The butterflies appeared to flutter effortlessly across a trellis adorned with climbing greens, creating a whimsical yet elegant display for guests to admire upon arrival.

The backdrop for this unique display was a tasteful stone-colored wallpaper, which echoed the richly coffered ceilings of the Schimmel Ballroom. The wallpaper’s crisscrossing beams and stylized florettes in charcoal tones further emphasized the wedding design’s harmonious blend of masculine and feminine elements.

To elevate the overall aesthetic of the space, an antique mirror was placed strategically over the venue’s fireplace hearth at the base of the seating display. This glamorous accent enhanced the venue’s timeless elegance.

Another strategic element we incorporated for Alyssa and Jake’s wedding was color consistency. This meticulous process involved precisely matching colors across various design elements utilized throughout the event, including draping, cocktail napkins, table linen, stationery, dance floor decals, cake fondant, and bar accessories. We meticulously balanced colors through design renderings and prototypes to ensure a cohesive and visually pleasing experience in every event space. Additionally, by color-blocking centerpieces with single-bloom arrangements, we harmonized the diverse colors in the dining area, cultivating a serene atmosphere amidst the vibrant palette.

Crafting a sophisticated event with vibrant, multi-color palettes requires strategic implementation. One effective approach is what we refer to as ‘Palette Progression.’ This involves a deliberate buildup of colors as guests transition through different event spaces. For Alyssa and Jake’s wedding, we began with a refined palette of peachy coral, creamsicle orange, and dusty lavender for the ceremony, gradually introducing magenta during cocktail hour. Finally, we enriched the atmosphere with moody amethyst tones and soft periwinkle in the dark and cozy reception space.
